Katie McMillan

In June 2018 I was provided with an grant of £1000 from the Holywood trust and I am writing to you to give an update on my season from August 2018 – May 2019.

In August myself and my team came second at the Greenacres leg of the u21 Slam, in October I won the Henderson Bishop Ladies trophy in Stranraer, then myself and my team won the Kinross leg of the u21 Asham slam, we then travelled to Norway for the Oslo u21 EJCT and came 4th overall, we also competed in the Barrhead EJCT and got to the quarter finals in this competition. In November we won the right to represent Scotland in the World Junior B Curling Championships in Finland, which we went in January and won Gold, therefore qualifying Scotland for the World Junior A Curling Championships in Canada in April. Myself and the team from Stranraer then won the u21 Scottish Junior Divisions Competiton in Edinburgh. In addition, myself and my team lost the semi final of the Scottish Junior Curling Championships in Aberdeen in January, to the eventual winners. In May this year myself and my team won the Scottish Mixed Curling Championships and the right to represent Scotland at the World Mixed Curling Championships in Aberdeen in October. I was also accepted into the Scottish Curling Academy for the 3rd year running.

Many thanks

Katie McMillan
