Funding for Year of Young People 2018

Dumfries and Galloway’s Year of Young People Youth Project Team have secured funding from the Scottish Government’s Community Choices Fund to run a small grant making scheme during 2018 Year of Young People that will enable local groups and organisations working with young people to deliver free events and activities during 2018.

The distribution of grants (from £500-£5000 per application) will be determined through a participatory budgeting exercise that will encourage young people across the region to vote on where and how they think the funding should be allocated.

You can chose to apply for up to 100% of your costs through a small grant of £500 to £1000 or a larger grant of £1000 to £5000.

We will make a minimum of 4 large awards and 5 small awards to projects in both the East of the region (Nithsdale & Annandale & Eskdale) and the West of the region (Stewartry & Wigtownshire) until all funds have been distributed.

Please find link below that takes you to the application form. Please can you share this amongst your staff, local groups and contacts.
